Reminder for Drivers to take driving licence to training course.
Driver Training Directive introduced the Driver Certificate of Competence (DCPC) for large goods vehicle drivers on 10 September 2009, and in particular the first five-year periods for periodic training began on this date.
Members are reminded that drivers must be able to produce their driving licence (pre-1997 paper licence with a passport or photocard together with paper counterpart). If the identity of the driver cannot be confirmed in this way, the training provider is not permitted to upload the training onto the Driving Standards Agency database and the course will not count towards the driver’s 35 hours.
