DSA publishes guide for training providers
The Driving Standard’s Agency (DSA) has published a guide giving details of periodic training needed for the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and what training providers need to do in order to get centre approval and course approval to deliver this training.
Key areas covered in the guide include: - how much training is required and how is it delivered
- who is affected by the requirements for periodic training and when must this periodic training must be completed
- the process for training providers/employers to get approval to deliver periodic training as an ‘approved centre’
- the process of course approval
- the monitoring of periodic training hours
The guide is published in association with GoSkills (the Sector Skills Council for passenger transport) and Skills for Logistics (the Sector Skills Council for freight transport).
